Hello.
My name is Ben Capon,
I am a Southwest based photographer experienced in a variety of different styles & genres - Among these, my standout images are found within documentary, music & sports photography.
You’ll find across my body of work that I’m drawn to documentary scenes the most, I enjoy the challenge of capturing the real, unscripted moments that reflect people & environments as they truly are. Further, my interest in music photography comes from my own experience as a drummer, which I believe gives me a more developed connection to the energy & rhythm of live performance.
I have been a dedicated photographer for 6 years now, this has taken me to many new & interesting places - Iceland, Sweden & Germany to name a few.
I’ve also had some great experiences here in Cornwall, such as First Team Photographer for Wendron AFC (25/26), the opportunity to shoot Skateboard GB National Championships in Newquay & I have been involved with shooting live music events hosted at the Cornish Bank.
Whilst I am primarily a photographer, sometimes I also use moving image as a visual storytelling tool. I find it allows me to explore moments in greater depth, capturing atmosphere, movement, & sound in ways that still images cannot.
